longtime ally of the College of Communications, where she
serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board, Barbara “Bobbi”
Rice ’82 is also an active member of the Alumni Association’s
Board of Directors.
President and Owner of B.P. Rice & Company, Inc., Bobbi
began her studies at Cal State Fullerton as an adult, while
working in the advertising industry. She started her own agency
in 1979; the business was thriving by 1982, when she received
her B.A. in communications with an emphasis in advertising.
Over the years, Bobbi has always made a special effort to
recruit and employ students and graduates from the College
of Communications. In fact, Cal State Fullerton alumna Stephanie
Lesko is head of creative services at Rice’s company.
