Why Give

Donor Benefits

Photo: students & teacherBy giving to Cal State Fullerton you’re making a statement. Whether you are a grateful alum, a faculty member who wants to make your workplace the best it can possibly be, a local business that relies on Cal State Fullerton for a well-prepared work force, or a neighbor that understands that important role the university plays in the community’s, your gift demonstrates a commitment. A commitment to knowledge, to learning, to preparing students for future careers or personal growth.

In addition to these intrinsic benefits of giving, donors to Cal State Fullerton also receive recognition for their support. All donors receive a letter of appreciation for their gift, and donors making gifts to Cal State Fullerton’s various annual giving programs receive benefits specific to their club. Donors making gifts of $10,000 or more to the campus’ new performing arts center will have an opportunity to name a room or area of the new Center. And, all donors of $1,000 or more during any given fiscal year are recognized in Cal State Fullerton’s annual report.

Your gift is also tax-deductible if you itemize your taxes. Certain gifts, such as planned gifts, often feature significant retirement and tax planning benefits. Gifts of highly appreciated property (such as real estate or appreciated securities) can feature significant tax advantages for the donor as well.
