Named After Tim Wallach
Tim is one of the finest players to ever wear a Titan uniform. Tim led Cal State Fullerton to its first national championship in 1979. During a banner year he drove in 102 runs, a school record that still stands and batted .391 with 23 home runs. He earned College World Series honors and won the Gold Spikes and The Sporting News National Player of the Year awards. He was a consensus first-team All-American. In 1978 he batted .394 with 16 home runs and 80 RBI. In Tim's two seasons with the Titans the team compiled a 104-27-1 record, twice winning the SCBA title.
After leaving Cal State Fullerton, Tim was a first-round draft choice of the Montreal Expos. He played 17 major league seasons with the Expos, Dodgers and Angels. He was named to the National League All-Star team five times and won three Golden Glove awards. He was also named major league comeback player of the year in 1994. His first hit in the major leagues was a home run in his first official at bat. He finished his career with a batting average of .257 with 260 home runs and 1,125 RBI. He is now the manager of the Albuquerque Isotopes, the Dodgers' Triple A affiliate.
Tim resides in Yorba Linda with his wife Lori and teenage sons Matthew, Brett and Chad. Tim’s son, Matt Wallach, played on the 2007 Titans Baseball team.
