The Student Leadership Institute provides free leadership education and training to Cal State Fullerton students who chose to participate in the program as part of their co-curricular involvement. The Leadership Institute is a noncredit certificate program dedicated to helping students become prominent and well-prepared leaders in their communities. In fact, The Templeton Guide: Colleges that Encourage Character Development: A Resource for Parents, Students and Educators lists Cal State Fullerton's Student Leadership Institute among the guide's "Exemplary Programs" in the student leadership category.
