University Learning Center
California State University, Fullerton
Computer Use Policy
-
The University Learning Center is considered a quiet, public
area. For this reason, we ask that students keep their voices
low and that students who want to work with music do so ONLY
with the use of headphones. Also, for the safety of the computer
equipment, no food or drink is allowed in the ULC.
-
The computers in the University Learning Center are to be used
for academic purposes - work that is directly related to CSUF
courses or schoolwork. Other uses will be given lower priority
and may be disallowed at the discretion of ULC administrative
staff.
-
As part of a state educational institution and public facility
where screen images are in public view, the University Learning
Center does not allow computer users to visit Internet sites
where the material is found to be offensive or inappropriate.
Users visiting such sites will be asked to leave the site, and
if necessary, to leave the ULC.
-
Regarding the downloading of written material from the Internet,
users of the University Learning Center computers must comply
with all copyright laws.
-
The University Learning Center accepts only Titan Tender for
printing payment. Cash is not accepted. Titan
Tender can be added to your Titan student ID card at the
library.
-
Downloading of any kind is not allowed
in the ULC. This includes zip files, attachments from e-mails,
etc.
-
Every semester students are required to fill out a policy
agreement stating the policies as show above. This would include
summer and intersession if the ULC is open. Students that don't
fill out the policy agreement will not be allowed to use the ULC
services.
