Tutoring Center
The Tutoring Center is now located on the second floor of the Pollak Library North. Students may walk in or call to make an appointment.
The following are the most Frequently Asked Questions about the ULC:
Can I make an appointment over the phone?
YES, call (714) 278-2738.
Do you offer online tutoring?
YES, refer to our Web site under online resources.
Why can't I get a tutor for the subject I want when I walk
in?
All tutors are students just like you! They have classes and
schedule their availability according to the times they have open.
It is best to make an appointment ahead of time to ensure you get a
chance to be helped.
Is it okay if I am a little bit late?
Please try to arrive on time. After 10 minutes, we declare you a
no-show. If you have two no-shows, you lose the privilege to make
appointments. Please call to cancel one hour before your appointment
if you cannot make it.
Why doesn't the tutor just show me how to correct my work?
At the ULC, we try to help you understand the material you are
having difficulty with. We want you to learn so that if you cannot
make an appointment with a tutor, you will know how to look for and
correct your own mistakes in the future.
