CHAPTER BENEFITS (VA)

To access your VA education benefits:
  1. Determine your eligibility and apply for VA education benefits through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). 
  2. After processing, VA will provide you with   Certificate of Eligibility (COE).
  3. Submit a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility (COE)   and   DD 214 - Member 4 Copy   or Notice of Basic Eligibility (NOBE) - DD Form 2384 to the Veterans Resource Center (VRC).  VRC staff will provide you with an intake packet to complete your VA benefits file.  You may complete the packet prior to visiting the VRC by downloading the packet for your type of benefits from the forms section of our site.
  4. Register for classes. If you have holds on your account preventing course registration, please contact the originating party or reach out ot us at the VRC.
  5. Submit a   Certification Request FormPDF File  to process your benefits every semester.

  6. NOTE: After in ititial requests, you must submit a new Certification Request Form whenever you revise your class schedule or make changes to your enrollment.
  7. Pay for your tuition and fees through before the   payment deadline.

    NOTE :    Active Chapter 31 and 33 students are will receive a "No Enrollment Cancellation" hold to prevent cancellation of courses due to nonpayment while we wait on the VA to pay the school. This hold is processed as soon as the VRC receives the initial Certification Request Form.
  8. Attend classes and maintain enrollment throughout the semester!

TUITION ASSISTANCE (doD)

To access your Tuition Assistance benefits:
  1. Determine your eligibility and apply for Tuition Assistance (TA) by visiting your local installation education center or online virtual education center.  Each service branch has a its own application form and procedures.

    NOTE:  Prior to your course enrollment, you may be required to develop an education plan or complete TA orientation.  Your service's education center must approve your military tuition assistance for the term.
  2. After your approval to use TA, you will be provided with a   Tuition Assistance Authorization Form.  Submit a copy of your authorization form to the Veterans Resource Center (VRC) with the   Tuition Assistance FormPDF File   cover sheet.
  3. Once the Tuition Assistance Forms are submitted, your TA will appear on your student account.
  4. Pay for your tuition and fees through before the   payment deadline. Deadlines must be followed even if waiting for TA Authorization from branch.
  5. Attend classes and maintain enrollment throughout the semester!

 

 

 

PRIORITY REGISTRATION

To access priority registration:
  1. Complete Intake Form and Submit a copy of your   DD 214 - Member 4 CopyDD 2384 - Notice of Basic Eligibility, or   current military orders   to the Veterans Resource Center (VRC) to register for priority registration.  VRC staff will review your paperwork to determine your eligibility for priority registration.
  2. Once priority registration is applied to your account, your registration date on your Student Portal will be updated:

  3. Register for classes on the earliest date and time listed on your Student Portal.
  4. Pay for your tuition and fees through before the   payment deadline.
  5. Attend classes and maintain enrollment throughout the semester!
