Resources for Veterans


Deadlines for scholarships vary, usually between January and April. Check the information pages for each scholarship for requirement and deadline information.


Veterans' Scholarship for Success

$1000 scholarship for two continuing CSUF veterans. Visit the Veterans’ Scholarship for Success page for details and applications.

Alumni Association Scholarship

$3,000 scholarship open to all continuing full-time CSUF undergraduate and graduate students. This program was established by the Cal State Fullerton Alumni Association. Money must be used for the upcoming academic year and funds may not be transferred to another school or program. Recipients may not receive more than $5,000 in total scholarship money per year. ASI Scholarships

Eight $1,000 scholarships . They are open to all majors, and each has its own criteria. Visit the ASI scholarship page for each scholarships requirements and applications.


Pat Tillman Foundation: Tillman Military Scholars

Investing in veterans and military families through education and community. The amount awarded is needs based and varies.

AMVETS National Scholarship Program

Four $4,000 awards ($1,000/year over a four year degree program) is offered. Scholarships for high school students who are children or grandchildren of veterans is also available.

Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society

The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) provides financial assistance, interest-free loans, educational scholarships and other support to Navy and Marine families.


Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry Scholarship

This is an amendment to the Post 9-11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) and is open to the children of an active duty member of the Armed Forces who died in the line of duty after September 10, 2001. Review this document for requirements.

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation

Provides scholarships to deserving sons and daughters of Marines with particular attention given to children whose parent has been killed or wounded in action. Review their eligibility information.
