OER Certificate Program
If you are interested in becoming an Open Educational Resources (OER) advocate, this program is for you!
The Online Education and Training OER Certificate Program is part of our faculty professional development offerings to help faculty explore free replacement options for costly textbooks, and the use a variety of existing resources.
The program educates faculty on:
1. How to identify, search, and evaluate OER resources.
2. Copyright and Creative Commons (CC) licensing.
3. The different types of Affordable Learning Solutions (AL$) that we offer.
4. Application practices.
This course consists of a single self-paced online class that includes instructional activities, collaborative discussions, and individual applications. Students have to finish three modules; each requires approximately 2-4 hours. Upon completion, participants obtain a certificate and a badge. This Certificate program may offer stipends.
