Lupe started working for CSUF on 12/12/90 in Admissions and Records
as a Clerical Assistant 2.
In March of 1992, Lupe was hired by Parking & Transportation
as a Clerical Assistant 3. Her duties included processing permit
requests and assisting the Parking Manager and Employee Transportation
Coordinator. Lupe also assisted the City of Fullerton and University
Police with translation assistance since she is fluent in Spanish.
Although Lupe started with limited computer skills she quickly
learned software applications and automated many processes - many
of which are still used today. Always looking to improve and automate,
Lupe developed a parking permit request form on "Quick Mail"
the University's first email program.
In February 2000, Lupe was promoted to an Administrative Analyst
Specialist as the Transportation Programs Manager. Her accomplishments
include enhancing the employee rideshare program, developing a student
rideshare program with on-line applications and web-based message
boards to assist students in finding carpool partners. Lupe has
been very instrumental in working with AQMD, the local air regulatory
district to streamline the annual commuter survey from a very intensive
4-month process to the on-line random survey that is conducted each
Fall. Lupe also services on the OCTA Citizens Advisory Committee
advocating for increased transit service to the campus.
