CSUF students, faculty or staff who conduct research involving human subjects when such data will be available for generalized public knowledge and/or publication requires review and approval by CSUF IRB. To find out more about the IRB process and requirements, please visit the CSUF IRB website

What happens to my access and surveys if I leave the University?

Once your University username and password expire, you won't be able to log in. You will need to create a new account directly with Qualtrics. Qualtrics support will migrate your surveys. YRefer to the Qualtirics User Moves article for more information.

I left the university and I now work at a different university/organization, how can I transfer my surveys to my new account?

Once your University username and password expire, you won't be able to log in. You will need to contact Qualtrics support to help with migrating your surveys. Refer to the Qualtirics User Moves article for more information.

I've collaborated a survey with someone else at the school, and the survey isn't in their account.

Ensure that the person you have shared the survey with is looking in Shared with me under their Projects tab.  If it is still not showing up, then they may need to refresh their account. To do this, they will need to click on their profile icon in the top right corner and click Refresh Account.

How can I make sure that only people at school take my survey?

In the survey flow, add an authenticator element, and set the type to SSO. See Authenticator support page.

Can I change my reply to address in the Qualtrics emailer?

By default it will be the email address in the Qualtrics account, which is imported from the university server. You can change it to any email with a valid domain of: fullerton.edu, or csu.fullerton.edu.

How do I collaborate (share my survey) with someone not affiliated to the campus?

You can share surveys by adding the email account of the individual(s). A share code will be sent (emailed) to the individual(s) which then they will need to enter their account in order to accept the shared survey. They will prompted to create a new account if one does not already exist.

How do I transfer ownership of a survey?

To transfer ownership of a survey, the owner* of that survey will need to send an email to helpdesk@fullerton.edu or StudentITHelpdesk@fulllerton.edu and provide written permission to transfer their survey(s) to another user. Note: only surveys created by the person can be transferred, any surveys shared with the person cannot be transferred.

The email must contain the following:

  • Username of the owner
  • Name of the survey(s) - the actual name, not the link for the survey
  • Username for the new owner

*If the user is an employee that no longer works at CSUF, then this email needs to come from the manager for that person.
