Multicultural Mentor Project
The African American Faculty & Staff Association first established the “Mentor Project” in 2002 which has now grown as a model mentoring program for all Cal State Fullerton ethnic faculty/staff associations and student participants. The Multicultural Mentor Project introduces students to the faculty, staff, or peer mentor(s) who share common life experiences, have expertise in the student's desired field of study, have knowledge of the CSUF campus, as well as other areas of interest. The Mentor Project strives to create a bond amongst the African-American faculty and staff and CSUF students.
This club sponsors monthly brown bag discussions around current events and books focused on African American culture and experiences. It is open to anyone interested in intellectual stimulation and sharing of perspectives around the monthly topics.
