Development
A strong foundation of supporters is essential to enhancing academic innovation, empowering students, transforming campus structures and enriching the community. Through gifts large and small, Cal State Fullerton elevates the potential of our remarkable students.
Central Development is dedicated to increasing community, tradition, and contributions to the University by working hand-in-hand with the campus community. Teams and responsibilities include:

Advancement Services is a service group responsible for performing key administrative, reporting and technology services to University Advancement including gift processing, data updates and oversight of the university's donor database to ensure that accurate and timely information is available for all stakeholders.

Annual Campaigns and Stewardship strategically plans outreach designed to establish and nurture a broad base of donor support.

Prospect Research provides information to development staff on the interest and affinity of donors and prospective donors for successful philanthropic and engagement connections to the university.

University Events plans and executes fundraising, stewardship and cultivation events for the division, as well as major, university-wide ceremonies including Commencement.
College and Program Development generates financial support for Cal State Fullerton, benefiting each of the eight colleges, Student Affairs, Titan Athletics, Fullerton Arboretum and the Pollak Library.

Campaign and Development Initiatives oversees the university’s first-ever comprehensive philanthropic campaign and manages strategic projects in support of major gift fundraising.

Colleges and Programs generates financial support for the institution including each of the eight colleges plus the Student Affairs, Titan Athletics, Fullerton Arboretum and the Pollak Library.

Planned Giving enables philanthropic individuals to make significant charitable gifts funded with cash, equity or property as part of their financial or estate plans.

Foundation and Corporate Relations identifies and builds relationships with funders whose areas of interests matches the university’s institutional priorities and assists in the submission of grant requests.
Government and Community Relations
The Office of Government and Community Relations initiates and maintains Cal State Fullerton’s connections and relationships with local, state, and federal officials, nonprofit organizations, community stakeholders, corporations and neighbors. The office advocates for the University and acts as a central point for those interested in developing a relationship with the institution. The office provides periodic updates to legislative delegations on campus programs and funding priorities in coordination with the CSU's offices of advocacy and state and federal relations.

Alumni Engagement
The Alumni Engagement department strives to foster a lifelong community of alumni connected to each other and to the institution with the goal of generating private financial support and engagement with the University.
Alumni Engagement staff also supports the Alumni Association Board of Directors in efforts to advance a positive CSUF image, promote university and alumni accomplishments, and provide opportunities for alumni networking.
Specific departmental responsibilities include:
- providing support for the Cal State Fullerton Alumni Association, which strengthens the CSUF connection with the goal of generating private financial support;
developing programs and events that bring students, faculty, staff and alumni together, such as Vision & Visionaries; Homecoming, baseball tailgates, business networking events and workshops;
- conducting student outreach through the Student Alumni Ambassador program and graduation activities, including commencement;
cultivating and developing alumni volunteers and identifying ways to engage their time and talent;
- producing communications content targeted toward alumni through the Alumni Relations web page, @Fullerton newsletter, Titan Magazine’s alumni section and social media;
identifying potential donors and working with development professionals to cultivate them for financial contributions to the university;
- developing partnership agreements with businesses interested in providing products or services to alumni; and
- participating on boards, committees and task forces to assist in the incorporation of alumni components into campus programs and initiatives, such as commencement, ASI Government, Titan Communicators and the Cal State Fullerton Philanthropic Foundation.

Parent Relations
The Parent and Family Relations team offers dedicated support services, communication and event opportunities to help you stay involved in your student’s college experience. An informed and supportive family is crucial to a student’s educational success, and we are here to guide you every step of the way.

Campus Services
Advancement Services is responsible, on behalf of the institution, for receiving and processing philanthropic gifts to Cal State Fullerton; reviews and approves gift agreements; tracks and maintains pledges; researches and identifies new donor prospects; and maintains and manages the University’s donor database.
UA Administration and Finance also manages the Cal State Fullerton Philanthropic Foundation (CSFPF) program, scholarship and endowment accounts.
Advancement Services follows the guidelines and standards of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), the professional organization for advancement professionals.
