This year, the CSUF New Music Series celebrates
The Space Between
—exploring boundaries of genre, gender, form, instrumentation, venue, and medium. Join us for an exceptional season featuring world-renowned guest artists, extraordinary alumni, and CSUF faculty and students in a series of groundbreaking performances. We launch the series with
“Approaches and Departures,”
featuring Molly Pease, vocalist and composer, alongside CSUF alumnus David Bergstedt, pianist,
premiering a new work by faculty composer Pamela Madsen.
The season includes a tribute to founding guest composer and Deep Listening pioneer Pauline Oliveros, as well as performances by ModernMedieval Vocal Trio, pianist/spoken word artist Inna Faliks, Brightwork newmusic, Sarah Cahill celebrating Terry Riley’s 90th birthday, Nicholas Isherwood’s experimental concert

, and the Sibarg Persian Music Ensemble led by new faculty composer Hesam Abedini.
