25th Annual New Music Series:
The Space Between
25th Anniversary Celebration of the CSUF New Music Series

This year, the CSUF New Music Series celebrates The Space Between —exploring boundaries of genre, gender, form, instrumentation, venue, and medium. Join us for an exceptional season featuring world-renowned guest artists, extraordinary alumni, and CSUF faculty and students in a series of groundbreaking performances. We launch the series with “Approaches and Departures,”  featuring Molly Pease, vocalist and composer, alongside CSUF alumnus David Bergstedt, pianist,
premiering a new work by faculty composer Pamela Madsen.

The season includes a tribute to founding guest composer and Deep Listening pioneer Pauline Oliveros, as well as performances by ModernMedieval Vocal Trio, pianist/spoken word artist Inna Faliks, Brightwork newmusic, Sarah Cahill celebrating Terry Riley’s 90th birthday, Nicholas Isherwood’s experimental concert The Electric Voice , and the Sibarg Persian Music Ensemble led by new faculty composer Hesam Abedini.
