Kyung Sun Cho received her BFA and MFA in Drawing and Painting from The University of California, Berkeley where she studied with prominent Bay Area painters Elmer Bischoff and Joan Brown. She is a recipient of the Regents Fellowship and Eisner Prize Award from The University of California. Her current work explores mental landscapes where personal and cultural debris collectively reference ideas of the accumulation of fragments, possessions and memories. Kyung Sun received two sabbatical research awards; one to study Milagros in Bahia, Brazil and the other to complete Japanese woodblock prints in New York City. She was born in Korea, raised in Brazil, educated in the U.S. and now lives in Los Angeles.
