Pianists In Performance

You are invited to foster musical excellence by participating in
“PIP”--Pianists In Performance

Pianists in Performance (PIP) is an outreach program seeking community members with grand pianos, and people who want to hear them really played! Such enthusiasts become “PIP Angels” and are matched with emerging young keyboard artists from CSUF, “PIP Artists.” Our artists, selected by audition, have repertoire ready to perform for you!

To qualify as a PIP Angel, all you have to do is provide a grand piano, tuned within a week of the performance, and invite your friends and family to enjoy a “home concert.”

A “PIP Concert” typically features 2 or 3 “PIP Artists,” playing a program of 45 to 60 minutes. Printed programs are provided by the PIP faculty advisor, which include brief biographies of the featured artists. Before each work, our “PIP Artists” also briefly explain something about the composer or the work to help you understand and enjoy the music more fully.

PIP Angels Benefits include complimentary tickets to campus Keyboard Events, as well as an invitation to a “Thank You!” gala reception. Photographs of “PIP Angels & Artists” may be displayed in the “PIP Gallery,” as detailed below.

The PIP Gallery displays “PIP Artists & Angels” and is maintained to provide a professional recognition of this program. All “PIP Artists” are prominently displayed with names, biographies and photographs posted, along with photos of “PIP Angels.”

You can help support this program’s musical excellence by contributing to:
