| Opera Theatre |
|
| The Opera Theater program is directed by Janet Smith and Mark Salters and produces opera excerpts, one acts, and full-length operas, both on campus and for Leisure World's Opera 100 Series. In the past few years, in conjunction with the Department of Theatre and Dance, the Music Department has presented La Boheme, The Merry Widow, and La Cenerentola. The Music Department has also produced The Marriage of Figaro, Gianni Schicchi, Madame Butterfly, Gallantry, Signor Deluso, A Hand of Bridge, and The Crucible. Department opera students are consistently regional semifinalists and finalists in the Metropolitan Opera Auditions. |
