Ellen Kim received both bachelors and masters of music degrees, with honors, in piano performance from California State University, Fullerton. She then furthered her piano studies in Austria and Italy, with performance highlights in Bad Aussee, Eisenstadt, Salzburg, Vienna and Urbino. An active member of the College Music Society, Music Teachers' Association of California and the National Guild of Piano Teachers, she has maintained a successful piano studio for over 15 years. She also frequently adjudicates composition and piano competitions, and her writings have been published in the Music Teachers' National Association’s piano pedagogy journal. Ms. Kim also serves on the music faculties at St. John's Conservatory of Music and Golden West College where she received the 2003 Outstanding Professor Award from the Associated Students. Ellen was profiled in the 2006 and 2007 editions of Who's Who in America and the 2007 edition of Who's Who of American Women.
