Robert Sanders, a member of the part-time faculty at California State University, Fullerton, teaches trombone, directs the University Trombone Ensemble and annually hosts Trombone Day at CSUF in the spring. In addition to being a freelance bass trombonist in the Los Angeles area, Mr. Sanders is a member of the Pacific Symphony, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and the Opera Pacific Orchestra. He has been a member of Bill Watrous’ Refuge West, The Jack Sheldon Orchestra and The Jimmy Cleveland Orchestra. He also regularly performs in many major motion picture and television studio recordings. He is president of the Southern California Chapter of the Theater Musicians Association, a member of its national board of directors and is a member of the board of trustees of the Musicians Association, Local 7 of the American Federation of Musicians.
