 Doug Tornquist

Doug Tornquist received his B.M. from University of Southern California, his M.M. from Wichita State University and his D.M.A from University of Southern California. Tornquist has been principal tubist in the Oregon Bach Festival Orchestra, Long Beach Symphony Orchestra, the New Sousa band and others. He is also a freelance artist in Southern California, working in motion pictures and recording industries. He has worked with numerous conductors such as Danny Elfman, James Horner, Mark Isham, Marc Shaman, Shirley Knight, Allen Sylvestri, Elmer Bernstein and James Newton Howard. Tornquist currently teaches tuba at Cal State Fullerton.
