ERIC DRIES, Instructor in Music, Michalsky Resource Center Manager
Eric Dries holds a Ph.D. in composition from the University of California, San Diego. Dries studied and worked with Rand Steiger, Brian Ferneyhough, George Lewis and Will Ogdon. He also holds a M.A. in theory with research in Schoenberg's theory of the chromatic scale tonality. His B.A. degree in composition was completed at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. As an instructor in the Music Department Dries teaches music theory, musicianship, analysis, counterpoint, jazz and composition. He regularly performs throughout southern California.
