JANET SMITH, Instructor in Music

Janet Smith is a mezzo-soprano, especially noted for her musically sensitive and intelligent interpretation of the oratorio repertoire. Smith has appeared as guest soloist across the country with the Indianapolis, Utah, Spokane and Oklahoma symphonies, along with the Pacific Chorale, L. A. Master Chorale and others. Smith is a frequent recitalist, lecturer and gives master classes in vocal technique and repertoire. She teaches private voice in Orange County and is currently president of the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. Smith is currently the vocal area coordinator at Cal State Fullerton along with teaching voice and co-directing the Opera Theatre program.
