Douglas Basye
Instructor in Music

Douglas Basye graduated with a Master of Music degree from Carnegie Mellon University and is assistant principal bassist with the Pacific Symphony Orchestra and a member of the San Diego Symphony. Prior to his positions in California, he played with the Colorado Symphony, Orquesta Sinfonica de Tenerife, Spain and Grant Park Symphony Orchestra, Chicago. He has also performed with the Solti Project Orchestra, Colorado Festival Orchestra and National Repertoire Orchestra. He studied with Jeff Turner, Chet Hampson, Lawrence Hurst, Bruce Bransby and Nico Abandolo. Bayse teaches double bass at Cal State Fullerton.
