Laura Harrison, director of the CSUF Jazz Vocal Ensemble, is originally from Vancouver, B.C., Canada. She recently completed her Doctorate of Musical Arts degree at USC. She has been a member of the Pacific Chorale and John Alexander Singers since 2001, and in 2007, was the featured soloist with the Pacific Chorale and the Pacific Symphony Orchestra in Osvaldo Golijov's Oceana . She is in demand as a vocalist and educator throughout the L.A. and Orange County areas. She is Children's Choir director and mezzo soloist at Tustin Presbyterian Church, and has private voice studios in Tustin and Fountain Valley.
