Mikhail Korzhev

Russian-born pianist Mikhail Korzhev studied at Moscow Conservatoire College, where he performed extensively both as a soloist and with orchestra in Moscow’s most prestigious halls. In 1991, he was invited to the United States as a featured recitalist for the Southwestern Youth Music Festival. While in the US he auditioned and was admitted with top scholarship to University of Southern California to study with Daniel Pollack. Since, he has performed throughout the US and Europe. In 2005, Korzhev took top prize at one of the major world–class piano events, the Virginia Waring International Piano Competition, and presented his debut performance at the prestigious Bösendorfer Hall in Vienna, Austria in spring 2006. Korzhev is currently a staff member with the Department of Music at California State University, Fullerton.
