Sergey Martinchuk has taught master classes and adjudicated competitions in the United States and abroad. Currently he has been contacted by the Ukrainian agency for a concert tour in the fall of 2007. During the summer of 2004 he played a sold-out concert in the city of Yanji, People's Republic of China that was highly praised in the Yanbian Daily newspaper. For his lecture and master classes there, he was awarded a commendation certificate and the rank of a visiting professor by the president of the University of Yanbian. Martinchuk has taught piano and music courses at Irvine Valley College, Master's College in Santa Clarita California, Westmont College in Santa Barbara, and at the University of California Santa Barbara.
Martinchuk's teachers have included Irina Chumazenko (Ukraine), Elena Beckman (Israel) and Vitaly Margulis (United States). He holds an Artist Diploma from the Music Academy in Ukraine, a master's degree from UCLA, and a doctorate from UC Santa Barbara.
