Clarinetist Håkan Rosengren appears regularly as a concerto soloist, master class clinician and recitalist throughout Europe, Israel and the United States, collaborating with Neeme Jarvi, Christopher Hogwood, Sakari Oramo, among others, and appearing in festivals from Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival to Warsaw Autumn. His CD recordings include Nielsen’s Clarinet Concerto on Sony Classical with Esa-Pekka Salonen, plus concertos on Caprice and Musica Sveciae and chamber music on Nytorp Records, CD Accord and Round Top Records. Awards include first prizes in Concert Artists Guild International New York Competition, UNESCO’s International Competition, Nordic Soloist Biennial and the Solo Recitalists Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. Rosengren has earned degrees from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Royal Flemish Conservatory in Antwerp and University of California, Santa Barbara and received grants from the Fulbright Commission and the Scandinavia America Foundation. Rosengren teaches clarinet and coaches chamber music at Cal State Fullerton.
