Choir & Orchestra Return From Eastern Europe
This May the Chamber Choir led by Robert Istad and the Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Kimo Furumoto departed on their first combined tour. Among the concert highlights were:
• Franz Liszt Academy of Music
• Bojnice Summer Music Festival
• Karol Szymanowski Academy
• Camerata Nova Festival
The tour repertoire featured a variety of choral and orchestral works, including the premiere of a new choral work by faculty composer Ken Walicki. Plus soprano/faculty member Patricia Prunty also joined the ensembles as soprano soloist for Haydn’s Creation.
This tour served as another in the host of highlights celebrating Cal State Fullerton’s 50th anniversary year.
