The Department seeks scholarship funding from a variety of sources. Several awards are given each year in diverse categories. Current funds are available from the Leo Freedman Foundation Grant, the Edwin Duerr Fund, the Dixie & Gordon Shaw Scholarship Fund, the Christine Lyon Fund, the Robin Johnson Scholarship, the Any Sheridan Scholarship Fund, the Meng Scholarship Fund, the Robert Christianson Scholarship Fund, Alvin J. Keller Scholarship Fund and James D. Young Scholarship Fund.

The Department also offers a number of graduates assistantships and teaching assistantships each year depending upon the expertise of the student and availability of scholarship funds.

The Financial Aid Office is committed to providing eligible students with the necessary financial aid resources to ensure academic success. The Office provides financial assistance to 6,300 students annually and administers over $17 million each year through a number of student finacial assistance programs.
