After-Hours
In the event of an extreme mental health emergency or life-threatening situation, it is recommended that the student call 911, University Police (657-278-2515), or go to the nearest emergency room.
After business hours, our crisis line continues to be available to current students every day, 24/7, including weekends and holidays. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please call CAPS (657-278-3040, available 24/7) and ask to speak with the on-call therapist.
Examples of a mental health crisis situation include but are not limited to: thoughts of suicide or homicide, self-harm, hallucinations, recent traumatic events, or feeling completely unable to manage your current situation.
