Assessment

Club Sports teams at Cal State Fullerton are vibrant, highly active student organizations. They are designed to offer organized competitive outlets for students from various skill levels. Also, to provide an avenue for student’s to develop leadership skills to effectively manage their self-governing club sport. Ultimately the success of an individual club rests largely with the student leadership of each sport team. The role of the SC-ICC is to encourage active involvement in the club operation by providing a vehicle for leadership development and club management through support, advice, and training. Furthermore, the SC-ICC is designed to help student leaders understand and articulate their leadership style, how to maximize their strengths, address areas for improvement, and to provide tangible information for the management of their club sport.

Student Learning Outcomes:

1. Student will be able to identify and articulate their personal leadership style.

2. Student will be able to understand all components of club management as outlined by Club Sport Office.

3. Student will be able to apply concepts of marketing communication as a tool for membership recruitment.

The Division of Student Affairs at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) systematically collects data pertaining to student experiences in the co-curriculum. These assessment efforts contribute to the improvement of programs and services and provide information on student satisfaction, program evaluation, utilization data, student learning and more.
