CMS Campus Solutions
The CMS Campus Solutions application (formerly called Student Administration) began implementation analysis and planning during August 2006 directly into PeopleSoft version 8.9. Campus Solutions encompasses all the functionality currently provided by SIS+ and Titan Online and will completely replace all these systems once fully implemented. DARS (degree audit reporting system) will be upgraded to DARwin as part of the Campus Solutions implementation, providing a more robust and user-friendly degree audit system.
A rolling go-live implementation schedule is planned centered around a CMS Go-Live for Fall 2008 registration and fee payment beginning with a small pilot May 19-20, 2008. That will be followed by New Student Orientation (NSO) registration beginning mid-June and registration for all students beginning in July. Some functionality will go-live March 10, 2008 including Admissions for all terms followed closely with Financial Aid processing for the 2008/09 award year later in March. By September 2008, the plan is to have all CMS Campus Solutions functionality in production.
For Faculty and Staff: You will access Campus Solutions via the “New Titan Online” tab in the faculty/staff portal. When this tab is clicked, a new browser window will open and you will see various links and access to CMS depending on the roles you have been given security to access.
Blackboard will continue to be accessed using the Blackboard tab in the Faculty/staff portal.
Faculty will soon have access to the “Faculty Center” from the New Titan Online tab which will provide the following:
Faculty Center
(all self-service functionality will be available on the web 24x7 and will access real-time data) |
- Faculty access to search the class schedule in real-time. The results displayed will include prerequisite information. You will be able to define specific search criteria including searching for classes by specific GE category (rather than all GE classes).
- Faculty access to review their course schedule and class rosters and post grades online
- Faculty access to easily email students in their classes
- Faculty and advisor access to view student self-service information including unofficial transcripts and degree progress reports

For Students: Beginning March 10, 2008, students logging in to the Student Portal will be required to update their student profile by selecting a username (which becomes the first part of their email address preceding @csu.fullerton.edu), a password and hint questions/answers in case they forget their password. Students may optionally provide a cell phone number which will be used in case of emergencies to text messages to the student. If students select an additional checkbox, they will be sent a text message anytime their student portal password is changed.
Blackboard will continue to be accessed using the Blackboard tab in the Student portal.
Also beginning March 10, 2008, students will see two tabs in their Student Portal.
- Titan Online – This is the current mechanism to log into Titan Online. As functionality in the current Titan Online migrates to the “New Titan Online”, you will see verbiage telling you to please use the “New Titan Online” for that function. The current Titan Online will remain available until the end of 2008, but by September 2008 very little functionality will remain in the current Titan Online. Note that Financial Aid information for the 2007/08 award year will continue to be accessed from the current Titan Online. During this period of transition, if unsure which Titan Online to use, try the current Titan Online first and if that function has migrated to the New Titan Online, you will see information telling you to use the New Titan Online.
- New Titan Online – This tab will open a new browser window where you can access your Student Center. The Student Center is the main page in PeopleSoft to eventually access all the functionality that was in the current Titan Online, plus additional functionality. Your Student Center will be available 24x7, will have faster response time over the current Titan Online and will no longer have the “busy, try later” problem or the inability to run degree audits that students experience during peak periods of registration. Here is a list of some of the functionality that will eventually be available in the Student Center. Functionality that will be available March 10th is underlined.

- Students can view/update selected bio-demographic information including emergency contact information.
- Students can search the class schedule in real-time. The results displayed will include prerequisite information. You will be able to define specific search criteria including searching for classes by specific GE category (rather than all GE classes).
- Students can review the status of their admissions application, financial aid awards, term class schedules, grades, unofficial transcript, student accounts, degree progress reports, holds/to-dos, review registration appointments, enroll in classes and make payments.

For Guests: Public access to the Class Schedule is currently available at http://www.fullerton.edu/schedule with a link to that webpage from the campus home page. That website is not real-time and will only contain information through Summer 2008. When the Fall 2008 Class Schedule becomes available this Spring, a link will be added to that web page to access the Fall 2008 Class Schedule in real-time from PeopleSoft.
