Committee Notes
At
their April 12 meeting, the CMS Project Steering Committee approved
a revised timeline for the HR system, moving the go live date of
the HR system to August 18, 2005 from December 1, 2005. Project
Director Amir Dabirian informed the group that this was the first
time that a request to shorten an implementation timeframe had gone
to the Chancellor's Office. The committee, chaired by Robert Palmer,
also approved distributed functionality for the part-time faculty
hiring process, with agreement to pilot the process with several
departments in order to make the full campus rollout in spring successful.
The third action item was the submission of names for the new CMS
Security Committee.
The CMS Steering Committee is composed primarily of members from
each functional area providing resources to the project as well
as key representatives from the campus at large. Members meet regularly
to discuss issues, review progress, provide resources and make key
