CMS
End-User Training and Support
CMS training
will be delivered with a “just-in-time” approach, meaning
that users will be trained just prior to the release of CMS functionality.
Because CMS HR is being rolled out in phases (release dates are
planned for August, October, and February), users will receive their
training in early August, September, and January. Several types
of trainings will be offered, including small group classes, one-on-one
sessions, customized department classes and web-based tutorials.
Refresher classes and open lab sessions will also be offered for
users that would like additional support.
The CMS team
has been working with representatives from each division to ensure
that all system users will receive the right access at the right
time. If you have been identified as a CMS user, the CMS team will
contact you to schedule your training session. During your session,
you will receive your user ID for access to the system, training
on basic navigation in CMS and on any other functionality you will
be using in the system. You will be provided with a customized training
guide, quick reference guides, and information on the online resources
and tools that are available to you. Just as with any other application
on campus, users should contact the Help Desk at extension 7777
for technical help with CMS.
