Our Mission and Goals
The Office of Community Relations at Cal State Fullerton collaborates on a regular basis with Orange County cities, the Board of Supervisors, chambers of commerce and various community organizations to further the university's mission and goals. Faculty, staff and students at the university partner frequently with the community.

State of the City Luncheon featured the Mayor of Fullerton and keynote speaker Lucy Dunn, president of the Orange County Business Council
Mayor Shawn Nelson of Fullerton outlined his priorities for the city at the annual State of the City at Cal State Fullerton. Lucy Dunn, president of the Orange County Business Council, discussed, “Orange County 2025: A Wake-up Call Today for Your Prosperity Tomorrow” at the annual event attended by more than 370 community members.

Residents of West Fullerton gathered with facilitator Ruti Hanchett to discuss the needs of the community and develop action steps to meet these concerns. The dialogue on “West Fullerton – Stories of Hope and Civic Renewal” continued discussions that began earlier this year.

Role of Media in the Middle East During Times of Peace and Tension Luncheon in the George Golleher Alumni House

Public symposium with keynote address followed by a panel discussion in the Titan Student Union’s Portola Pavilions.

The event highlights the role of media during times of peace and political tension in the Middle East. This event will bridge the academic disciplines and stimulate discussions in the classroom and in the community well after the event concludes. The event follows the internationally- focused discussion that began in last May at the President’s House.

The event is a cooperative effort with the College of Communications and Humanities and Social Sciences.

7:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. panel discussion in the Titan Student Union's, Portola Pavilions. The dialogue focuses on immigration from the national security, economic and human rights perspectives. The public is welcome to attend at no charge. Parking is $4.
