Services provided by the CRC

We serve the needs of campus programs and departments, i.e. Chicana and Chicano Studies, Latin American Studies, History, Spanish, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Elementary and Bilingual Education, Secondary Education, etc. We exert a positive influence on the academic success of Chicana/o and Latina/o students, by providing:

  • research assistance
  • instructional support
    Instructional Support at the CRC
  • tutoring, mentoring, advisement, and networking
  • cultural and student affairs programming, lectures, and film series
    Cultural Program in session
  • cooperation with other campus support groups and community partnerships

Meeting at the CRC The CRC is equipped with 7 (PC) computer workstations and a laser printer (10 cents per page covers cost for paper and ink cartridges.)

We also provide color printing for special projects (for a nominal fee). We also have a television with dvd and vhs players. The Center maintains a small research collection on Chicana/o and Latina/o themes and topics that compliments the Pollak Library's collection. We also have a small area for individual group study and a meeting space for Chicana/o and Latina/o student organizations. Space is available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Groups and organizations meet at the CRC
