Cal State Fullerton continues its commitment to protect the privacy
of employees and to comply with all state and federal laws regarding
the collection, maintenance and dissemination of Social Security
numbers (SSNs). The California legislature has passed several new
laws requiring that universities use an assigned identification
number instead of SSNs. University employees that require access
to SSNs in order to perform certain functions, however, will continue
to have access to them.
Please refer to the FAQs for information
about the new numbers, changes in SIS+, etc.
In coming weeks, this site will be updated to include information
of particular interest to staff. Watch for guidelines regarding
the use of student SSN and CWIDs, training related to SIS+ changes,
and more.
