Student Learning Outcomes

  • Students will understand the foundational computer science subjects such as data structures and algorithms, computing systems, software design and architecture, security fundamentals, and related mathematics.

  • Students will understand state-of-the-art computing technologies and practices and know how to use them.

  • Students will recognize computing problems, industry needs for solutions to those problems, and impacts of the solutions on our diverse society.

  • Students will accurately analyze problems, recognize the ideal computing technologies and practices, and specify the computing requirements appropriate to their solutions.

  • Students will communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences for the computing problems and solutions by giving oral presentations and writing technical reports.

  • Students will develop practical and secure applications - independently and collaboratively with team members, faculty, or industry partners by applying foundational knowledge and using modern computing technologies and best practices.
