Students will demonstrate the ability to apply research methodologies and the scientific method to formulate a clear, researchable question in gerontology and design a feasible study using secondary data.

Application of Gerontological Theories, Concepts and Issues: This outcome will be assessed through a culminating experience—original thesis or project, or secondary data analysis—emphasizing polished, professional writing that reflects critical thinking, subject mastery, and adherence to scholarly standards.

Students will demonstrate the ability to conduct independent gerontological research by analyzing secondary data, interpreting results, and effectively communicating findings through a written master's project and oral presentation.
