What is the difference between an Academic Dean and Dean of Students?

Dean of the College holds the responsibility of supervising the academic programs, departments, faculty, and administrative operations within their specific college. They ensure the smooth functioning of educational activities and provide leadership in these areas.

The Dean of Students plays a vital role in supporting and advocating for students. They are dedicated to addressing student concerns and ensuring a positive and enriching campus experience.

What should a student do if they have academic-related concerns?

If a student has concerns related to academics such as grades or course instruction, they should consult the Associate Dean of the Academic College to which their course or major belongs. For assistance, you can access the contact details of the Academic Associate Dean on your Academic College's official website.

What should a student do if they have a hold on their account?

If there is a hold on your registration it will have the name of the department and the number to call to request your hold to be removed.

If you are concerned about a student or think they may need university support, visit the Dean of Students Office homepage for a list of referrals. Visit the Care Services for more information.

Is Care Services available outside regular business hours?

No, Care Services staff are not available outside regular business hours. Their availability is limited to Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This includes holidays and campus closures.
