The DSC has a variety of rooms for overnight stays, all with heating and evaporative cooling, with a total bed capacity of approximately 70. Most rooms share a communal bathhouse (separated by gender), which includes heated showers, and common dining spaces.

The DSC operates with a minimal staff and we have no regular housekeeping services. Please keep your room and common spaces neat and clean. Use the rubbish and recycling bins provided. Please be patient and considerate and help our small staff keep the Center clean and pleasant for all guests.

Limited primitive camping (tents only) is available at the south end of the DSC, with use at the discretion of the Field Station Operations Manager. Campsites are also available at undeveloped sites within the Mojave National Preserve.

Groups are generally required to use our on-site catering service, which can provide three meals a day and sack lunches for field trips. Special arrangements can be made to use parts of the commercial kitchen if your smaller group obtains proper food-handling permits from the state. Please contact the DSC office for details and costs.
