To provide mentors an opportunity to assist students with disabilities. The mentors will be able to foster academic success and encourage campus involvement to students they are mentoring.


  • Participate in Peer Mentor training retreat (1 day)
  • Meet regularly with your mentee twice a month
  • Meet one-on-one with the coordinator of the program once a month
  • Serve as a role model and reliable resource
  • Introduce mentees to on-campus programs, services and activities
  • Serve as a liaison between the office of Disability Support Services and your mentee
  • One semester commitment


  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Sophomore or above standing
  • Familiarity and sensitivity to students with disabilities possible transitional challenges
  • Aspiration for student involvement and leadership
  • Mentor opportunity open to students with and without disabilities
  • One semester commitment
