Professor for a Day 2017

CSUF's College of Engineering and Computer Science welcomed alumni and industry leaders to the 12th annual 'Professor for a Day' event on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017. The event allowed guests to share their stories related to career development, education, and lifelong learning. In total, 20 guest professors, including 8 alumni participated.

Speaking of the event, interim dean of the college, Susan Barua said, "Our guest professors’ personal successes provide inspiration for our students and help them envision opportunities for their own careers. Sharing their expertise creates an important bridge in our students’ learning, further helping us strike the right balance between theory and practice in their education."

Guests and 50 senior Dean’s List students also participated an invitation-only keynote luncheon held at the Fullerton Marriott. The luncheon featured keynote speaker Brian Berger, Executive Vice President of IMRI.

The event is held during National Engineers Week to promote a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of, and interest in, engineering and technology careers.
