Emeritus on the new exhibit at the Orange County Agricultural and
Nikkei Heritage Museum at the Arboretum followed by a tour of the
Exhibit.

More than 70 members of
the Emeriti attended our 2007 Spring Meeting. Our thanks to VP Nelson
Woodard for arranging an outstanding program.

Following lunch and an introduction to the new
exhibit we repaired to the new Orange County Agricultural and Nikkei
Heritage Museum on the Arboretum grounds.

The exhibit - Sowing Dreams Cultivating Lives -
focuses on the experiences of Japanese farmers and ranchers in
Orange County prior to World War II.

Pre-WWII Orange County.

This exhibit recreates a typical pre-WW II farm
kitchen.

Fencing was a sport that was much enjoyed by the
Japanese immigrants of this era. This shows a fencing costume
from the pre-WW II era. |
