This Faculty
Handbook is intended
to provide faculty with an overview of University policy and procedures.
While it covers those matters most relevant to full- and part-time
faculty, it is neither a definitive collection of policies and procedures
at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) nor the Unit 3
Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between the California Faculty
Association (CFA) and the Board of Trustees of the California State
University (CSU) System. This Handbook
is not meant to supersede the CBA or the established rules and regulations
that govern the system, the University, or the faculty. Rather,
the policies stated in this Handbook
are brief statements of or references to policies whose exact language
can be found in the cited documents. In case of any conflict between
the contents of this Handbook
and the provisions of the primary sources, the primary sources prevail.
As policies and procedures change, this Handbook
will be reviewed and revised periodically.
More
extensive statements on issues that affect all faculty can be found
in the CBA or in various CSUF University Policy Statements (UPS).
Several offices are available to respond to questions concerning
University policy and procedures, including the offices of your
department chair, college dean, the Vice President for Academic
Affairs, the Academic Senate, or Faculty Affairs and Records.
