GEAR UP provides parents/guardians with the opportunity to explore college/university campuses, and learn about university requirements and financial aid options.

Professional Development for Teachers

GEAR UP aims to provide professional development to support teachers in our partner school district. The objective is for teachers to develop strategies to increase student achievement in English and mathematics.

Through GEAR UP, teachers have the opportunity to collaborate with other teachers from across the district, share ideas and best practices, and develop and pilot exciting lessons aligned to Common Core standards. Supported by district leadership and university personnel, teachers work to develop rigorous cross-curricular learning experiences that promote 21st Century learning practices.
