You should give thoughtful consideration to your essay. The response you provide will be carefully reviewed by the scholarship selection committee to determine which applicants are invited for a personal interview. Essays should be 2-3 typed, double-spaced pages with your name at the top of each page. Your personal description may include such information as your family situation, special interests, group memberships, honors and awards.

Essays should address the following:

• A brief personal description

• The obstacles you overcame in your pursuit of an education

• Why you hope to attend Cal State Fullerton

• Your educational goals at Cal State Fullerton

• What you hope to do after college graduation
