Partners
Guardian Scholars are exceptional when they enter the program – exceptional for their ambition and determination to earn a college degree despite the difficulties and disappointments they have been handed in life. In the Guardian Scholars program they encounter caring people: university advisors, donors, board members, community members and others who are equally determined that these youth have access to the resources necessary to fulfill their dreams. As a partner, you can assist these youth as they design their university experience, work lives and futures.

The Guardian Scholars Program would not be possible without the generous donations from individuals, foundations and corporations including: Arrowhead Mountain Spring Water; The California Wellness Foundation; Cal State Fullerton Alumni Association; The Dhont Family Foundation; Donahue Schriber; Doris Libbea Foundation; Orangewood Children's Foundation; Orco Block Company; SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union; Selman Chevrolet Company; Street Dreams Foundation; S. Mark Taper Foundation; The Stuart Foundation; United Way of Orange County; Wilson Phelps Foundation.
ADVISORY BOARD
The Guardian Scholars Advisory Board is made up of Orange County foster care professionals, CSUF faculty and staff, community leaders and two Guardian Scholars students. The Advisory Board serves to chart the Program’s direction and in the selection of incoming Guardian Scholars. Advisory Board members also assist in raising funds to support the program. The Program’s major donors frequently interact with the students and staff at Guardian Scholar events. These donors bring a private sector orientation to the program and work to best leverage donations, create synergy and ensure that donated funds are maximized.

A message
from Advisory Board member Allen Boerner
It is a true joy getting to know these bright, motivated, and hardworking young scholars each year. They are all quality students with great outlooks on life; most of them have overcome so many obstacles to get where they are today, their determination and dogmatic attitudes are inspiring to anybody that meets them.
I can honestly say that it is a true honor to be a part of such a great program. I have been blessed in many different ways and contributing to the Guardian Scholars at Cal State Fullerton is my way of giving back to the community. It has been and will continue to be my pleasure to share a role in such an elite cause.
