received her bachelor of science degree in child and adolescent studies at the commencement ceremony held this past May. Michelle was one of the original Guardian Scholars students when the program began in 1998. Throughout her education, Michelle never gave up on her dream of becoming a teacher. Michelle recently (Spring 2004) received her certification in special education at CSUF, and will begin her master's in special education at Cal State Long Beach. Congratulations Michelle!

(B.A. music) received her bachelor of arts degree in music along with her sister, Michelle. Her passion for music has inspired Laura to travel around the world. As a Guardian Scholar, Laura spent one year abroad studying music in Germany. Laura aspires to become a concert pianist and plans to eventually obtain her master's degree in music. We are delighted to have such a talented musician and alumna.
