Please note, the Intent to Apply process and application is not the Post Baccalaureate admissions application. If you are interested in applying to the CSUF Post Baccalaureate program, please visit their website at www.fullerton.edu/hppostbac
Are you applying to a professional school program (i.e. Allopathic, Osteopathic, Optometry, etc.) for the 2012/2013 application cycle? If so, you'll want to become familiar with the new Intent to Apply application process that has replaced the Open/Reopen a file form. The Intent to Apply file is a way to collect the necessary items for the Health Professions Committee to compose a committee letter of support that will be attached to your other letters of recommendation and sent to the program you are applying.
The new application is available to complete! We've generated a PowerPoint presentation to help guide you through the new Intent to Apply application.
A deadline of February 2, 2012, for the submission of the required contents of your file is not flexible and will result in the loss of a committee letter. In almost all cases, a committee letter is something to strive for, as it is a reflection of your capabilities and character, and will greatly strengthen your candidacy, in most cases. Please note the loss of a letter can be detrimental to your professional school application process. For additional details about the required documents for your file, please refer to the PowerPoint presentation or the Committee Letter flowchart.
You also have the option of having the Health Professions office upload a letter packet to the professional schools you're applying to. If you'd like to have only a letter packet and not a committee packet submitted on your behalf, please submit the following items: intent to apply application (pages 1-3), letters of recommendation, list of schools, application ID and letter ID (if applicable), digital photograph and fee payment. Please refer to the Letter Packet flowchart.
Once your file has been established, you will be added to a TITANium community were you will have access to track the progress of your file through the grade center. Please be sure to provide each of your letter writers with the Reference Request Guide and Form to assist with composing a letter on your behalf; page two of the Reference Request Guide and Form is required with each letter submission.
